DALLAS, TX - May 13, 2010 - ProLab's Chief Executive Officer, Hillary Bell has been recognized for extraordinary success in the area
of innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to business and community by Ernst and Young. The reception of
Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year® 2010 Award is a result of Ms. Bell's commitment to excellence and
unwavering dedication to increasing ProLab's performance standard for patient, clients, emplyees and shareholders.
When asked about the recognition, Ms. Bell said, "ProLab is quickly becoming a major force in the clinical laboratory
business. Our recent improvements in customer service, technology and efficiency enable us to foster better long-term
partnerships with our clients and become an employer of choice. Quite frankly, being acknowledged for doing what you
know to be right is flattering and a reminder that we are on the right track."
Hillary Bell worked for an independent laboratory while at Texas Tech, and soon realized entrepreneurship was the only
route for her. Ms. Bell persuaded her college employer to go into business with her, and in 1999, ProLab was born. The
Fort Worth-based company now provides same-day lab results for patients in 650 client skilled nursing and acute care facilities
in five states. Bell is no stranger to adversity. Her business partner died suddenly in 2000, but she was able to take
over at age 26, doubling market share each year for the next five. As a single mom with three small children she balances
success well. "I'm home for dinner with them every night," she says, trusting her strong company-leadership team.
ProLab, a veteran in this industry, has been in business for 11 years with its original shareholders intact. Their
first lab in Fort Worth, TX remains as one of their largest and ProLab continues to support the Fort Worth economic
community by training, developing and employing over 450 people. Proud of the company's growth, Ms. Bell noted, "I am
